IRGC submarines to become operational in Persian Gulf soon

TEHRAN, Dec. 8 (MNA) – Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ submarines will become operational in the Persian Gulf in the near future, the deputy commander of the IRGC Naval Force announced on Tuesday.

Commenting on the presence of extra–regional forces in the Persian Gulf region, Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said that about 20,000 U.S. forces and 108 U.S. fighter jets on two aircraft carriers are now deployed in the Persian Gulf region.
